Hello everyone, its your forgotten leader Ben with the final update to The Real BS Podcast site. I know, I don’t post a podcast in months and the first thing to pop up is the ‘I’m quitting’ post, sorry. Why haven’t I posted? I lost that love and feeling I guess. Both Steve and I put a lot of time and effort into the shows, then it was just me trying to scrounge up something interesting and funny and I don’t know if I succeeded. I wanted to do the podcast not only to hang out with my friend but to put out something that would entertain the rest of my friends and again I don’t know if I succeeded. Its really frustrating trying and not knowing if you’re doing well or just getting lip service from people who’ve said they listened to a show. That’s when I turned to the needle…

I’m kidding about that last part, I snort my drugs thank you very much! Anyways, here’s the deal; I’m coming back with A NEW PODCAST!!!!  Fate tapped me on the shoulder one afternoon when I reached out to a former guest and said, “hey, we should hang out.”

“i’m ready, lets do the podcast”

“really? i just want to see a movie.”

“I want to do a podcast”

And there you have it. The person on the other end of the conversation was show favorite Larry. The most positive responses I received was the shows with him and the most fun I’ve ever had was with him in general so hey, why not? “Public School Graduates” will start podcasting at the end of this week and will feature interesting takes on one subject a week. We’ll still bring in guests, try to keep it around a hour and most importantly make you laugh.

So that’s it. I would like to thank everyone that supported this show, the people who actually listened and the many guests that were guilt into coming on the podcast

Well the Real BS Podcast is back and is going through some big changes. Steve Hartman, the co-creator of the show has regretfully bowed out which leaves Ben to take the wheel. That’s right, you get my ramblings here and in audio format, sorry.

This podcast is very short, just explaining what direction the podcast will go, what will happen and how i plan to make a dollar of 15 cents.

After a little hiatus, we’re back and better than ever.  Welcome to the Real BS Podcast episode 51.

 

On this particular podcast we start off by doing a little catching up and talking about the Farmington Founders Festival that Steve took part in.  His thoughts on dogs, parades and wind all get told.

Then of course we talk movies.  What’s going with the summer?  We have barely seen movies and that seems to be par for the course.  Pacific Rim, Lone Ranger, Red 2 and many many others are tanking.  Is this the end of the summer blockbuster?

Do the old Batman movies hold up?  Steve watched part of Batman and then Batman and Robin and that’s followed by a discussion on how George Clooney survived his run in the worst Batman film ever.

Dredd might be coming back and we spend some time talking about crowd funding and if it’s a good thing or bad.  Some people do well, others fall flat.

And finally, it’s just not a Real BS Podcast without bitching about Facebook.  What needs to stop before it gets started?  And will you agree?  Take a listen.

The Real BS Podcast

Lucky You!  You get a super long and entertaining podcast this week.  We start off the show by talking about Ben’s adventures to DTE to see a concert featuring LL Cool J, Ice Cube and many other artists from back in the day.

We then speak about our latest adventures such as buying chemicals at Meijer and boating on White Lake then getting pulled over by the boat police.

Steve reviews a couple of films: Oz The Great and Powerful and Hansel and Gretel.  One was decent and the other was horrible!

In further entertainment news we talk about Jim Carrey’s comments on Kick Ass 2, Liam Neeson opting in for Taken 3 and Ben selling The Chronic to a kid during a garage sale.

Finally, it’s Paula Deen’s turn.  We go through her current crisis management and debate whether she should have a comeback, if she’s racist and why people are or aren’t supporting her.
